El Jay (Logan) on the beach. I'm not sure beach is the proper word to describe this area. From the sidewalk/bike-walking path there was a flight of stairs going down to these rocks. Once upon a time, I would have jumped across all of these rocks to get to where Logan was. I can't now, but I was able to sit on the edge of the stair landing and soak in the glorious sun while taking pictures of surfers.
From listening to a surfer talk to another tourist, this is a very dangerous place to surf. It didn't look dangerous at all to me. It didn't even look all that fun for surfing. The waves were small. It was a calm day. The surfer said that it was a gnarly place to surf. I'd like to go back and take pictures on a day with bigger waves.
I've never surfed, but my brother did. When I think of surfing, I think of Huntington Beach. My high school years during the Summer that was the place to be.
