Cinedome 70--Riverdale, Utah. Day 4 of my vacation.
I made over 200 images of this classic theatre. I remember when she opened--the government had just moved our family to Hill Air Force Base. I was eight years old and thought this was the coolest building, EVER. I still think so. Sadly she is being threatened with extinction. A car dealership wants to put yet another car lot here. An overly cropped and saturated shot. I am reflected in the window. El Jay says that it is not us, but two ghosts looking out at us. Perhaps he is right. Could it be my 8-year old ghost with me of now? Or the ghosts of movies long forgotten?
I could have used the healing tool to completely erase the words written on the glass, but somehow, the words belonged and so they remain. To see more of the pictures I took,go here http://indigodreams.smugmug.com/Vacation-June-2010/Cinedome-70/12651990_AzXgg#909554729_Dszbp
You have to view them all to get the full scope of this awesome lady. The Dolly Parton of theatres. ;-)
